Market research company eMarketer forecasts that US advertisers will spend 20% more on social networking sites such as Facebook, Twitter and MySpace in 2010.
This means social media will account for 6.7 per cent of all US online ad spending.
Apparently Facebook dominates with 50% market share of Social Media spend whilst Myspace diminishes.

Facebook.com grabbed the number one ranking in the category for the first time in July with 20.9 million visitors, up 179 percent versus year ago. They also revealed a range of country specific data and global volumes. Interesting stuff.
