The Effects of Corruption on Individual Communication Behavior: The Case of Enron

This research investigates the email networks within Enron prior to its demise using both content analysis and social network analysis. The study presents comparisons the email networks and communication patterns of legitimate projects at Enron and the fraudulent projects. Brandy Aven, assistant professor of organizational behavior and theory at the Tepper School of Business, presented this material at the 2014 Tepper School Alumni Reunion on April 12, 2014.
