News Update: Facebook Overtakes Google's Orkut On Net Users In India: ComScore

Facebook now has more users in India than Orkut, Google's (NASDAQ:GOOG) social networking website, according to a Cnet report that cited statistics from ComScore.

The number of Facebook users in India surged 170% year-over-year to 20.9 million, while the number of Orkut users rose only 16% to 19.9 million during the period.

The statistics showed the overall use of social networks in India rose 43% from July 2009 to July 2010, indicating that over 33 million people in India (ages 15 and older)...
