Half of global internet users are on Facebook

BUSINESS DAILY : Almost 1.5 billion people - an estimated half of the world's internet users - have signed up to Facebook, according to the social network's latest results. Users spend an average of 46 minutes a day on the site, which has seen its revenue from advertising soar by 40%. Also today: troubled French nuclear firm Areva agrees to sell the majority of its reactor business to EDF.
