The Argentine government has approved a new law allowing trans people to reassign their gender without the need for medical approval. The law also allows access to surgery under the country's health plan.

A US panel have recommended the use of anti-HIV drug, Truvada, for uninfected people. Although controversial, results have shown up to 73% reduced risk in high risk groups.
