This first half video for the undergraduate social networks course of the University of Maine at Augusta generally discusses the difference between two-mode and one-mode network data with reference to affiliation and adjacency matrices. The second half of the video walks through the means by which two-mode affiliation data can be collected and converted into one-mode data (without matrix algebra for simplicity's sake), using the example of the 126th Maine State Legislature.
